I've just discovered the 'works globally' statement on swindle advertising is a lie. I travel frequently for work and have just tried purchasing several books only to find my account blocked by amazon. When I enquire why I get an email response saying I have exceeded the allowed number of international purchases on a .co.uk account. I've bought 5 books so far!! When I queried it I got this back - 'I'm sorry you had trouble buying from the Kindle Store. I reviewed your account and it seems that you have tried to make more than the allowed number of international purchases for UK customers. I've enabled your international purchases for 5 additional ones for you as a courtesy.'
