Paper book in France have been using fixed prising for as long as I remember... Can't say i'm annoyed at publishers fixing the prices, i'm used to it. Not such a big deal !

If the book is too expensive, you have the choice to say "won't buy". If the book just isn't available, you don't have choice anymore. It's just "don't read it".
