That is basically why I bought a silver 350 yesterday
I like it a great deal, compared to my Opus and Nook. The light weight is fabulous, it is easy to operate
silently, with one-hand. The Pearl screen is amazing compared to the Opus, although only a moderate improvement over the Nook. The dictionary is fabulous. My eBook-Lite (see signature) fits it perfectly and lights it evenly.
However, I'm not 100% sure I'll keep the 350. My reservations are:
It gets top-heavy when you add a clip light.
The silver bezel is very shiny and reflects back
any light.
I don't like the Sony's font (I'm reading the PDF posted but the process to change them looks intensive).
I really want WiFi for Wikipedia.
I also played with the Kindle 3 at Best Buy. It was a display model with a set of rotating screens, so I didn't get a sense of the software, but the buttons are a lot quieter than the Opus and Nook. But no library support! And I loathe the Kindle fonts.
The 950 looks like it is the same size as the Nook. If it really does only weigh 8oz, I'm interested. But if it is 10+ oz, I'm not. And it is probably the same shiny silver
I really just wanted the 650 with WiFi. I don't even need the 3G. Darn you Sony...
