Ah yes, it might... except that this earl was the first of the name, therefore his father and mother were commoners... I think.
Anyway, the book is progressing nicely. I finished the first part, and the second part seems like it will be a different take on the same story or at least characters, seen from a different viewpoint. Sounds yummy
