Help needed to de-authorise Sony reader

I am selling my PRS-300 and want to ensure that the new owner has no problems. Although I never bought anything from the Sony Store, I have used ADE and understand that the reader would have been authorised automatically.

Searching the net I found instructions for PC (Ctrl+Shift+E) but I use a Mac. I've tried all combinations of Ctrl+Shift+E, Cmd+Shift+E, Alt+Shift+E but nothing seems to happen. How can I be sure that my reader is not linked to my account in any way, and if it is, how do I release it?

Thanks in advance for your help.
