Thank you. (I'd much rather think I am somehow hosing things up myself -- as that means I could still run the hack -- but I don't think that's the case.)
Perhaps I'll try installing on my husband's K2i and see if I have the same issue. If it works on his, then I can assume it is somehow related to my specific K2i.
