I found out around 10-20 years ago that the center part of the US had the radio serials longer than the coasts did.

So, Saturday night I heard Little Orphan Annie, and a few times i got to stay up late and hear Inner Sanctum.

Sunday afternoon Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Green Hornet, and The Lone Ranger radio shows were on.

Then they stopped and Roy, Lone Ranger, and Green Hornet became tv shows.
