Can I please ask what jailbreak/uninstall you used? I'm having the exact same problem.

I've found 2.5 jailbreaks and tried to follow the list of what you did to fix your problem. I'll add the jailbreak file to my kindle root and eject my kindle, but when I go to update my kindle the option is grayed out. I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong here.

I still have my screen saver uninstall file, but it doesn't uninstall the hack. All it does is put the kindle screen savers in the folder.

I really want to update my kindle to the 2.5 software.
