That's very cool. I still find it slightly odd that I'm writing a forum post in reply to an author whose book I enjoyed. I'm not used to this sort of direct contact.

I read a review of it somewhere, and it sounded interesting, so I started reading the free bit on Smashwords, by the time I was half way through the free bit I'd paid for it.
For what it's worth, I think the chance to start reading it for free is really useful - I'm more likely to give a book a chance if I can start reading it for free, and if I like it there's no way I'm not going to pay to read the full thing.
