It's a Book, Jackass

The other day I was out at one of my favorite indie bookstores (probably the best in Arizona), and they had this on display right at the entrance.

It's a Book is actually a really short children's book, so I read it right there in the store (with Kindle in hand, ironically). Contrary to the review by the Changing Hands' employee, there is nothing in this book about e-ink. In fact, it looks as though the Donkey has a laptop, not a dedicated reader. There's a video of an interview with the author on the book's Amazon page and he said, "I wasn't trying to make a statement or get preachy or anything. I just thought... it would make a funny, comedic conflict." The donkey isn't even reading e-books in the book. You can watch the book trailer on the Amazon page, as well. It's pretty much the whole book.

The book does present a kind of "comedic conflict" and I got some laughs out of it. So if anything, it's worth a quick read in the bookstore.
