I am a Canadian living in China. I used to buy from the Canadian Sony store with no problems since they just seemed to look at my credit card only to determine geographic locations. However, the last book I wanted to buy was US only. Fine. Bought it for my iPad instead. I found a guy on eBay who sells me US gift cards for a very small markup ($101 for a $100 card) and the iTunes store does not seem to check geographic locations. Sony loses the sale. Would have preferred to read it on my Sony Reader but the iPad is ok.
