Or do you see yourself wanting to buy a lot of books when you're out of range of a WiFi hotspot? And if that's the case, why not save all the bother and just get a 3G Kindle in the first place?

In my case, AT&T in the Los Angeles area does not have the greatest coverage. There were numerous times when I could not get a signal on my old AT&T phone but I could get a signal on my Sprint Kindle 2 U.S. (the Kindle 2 worked well on a cross-country driving trip as well... when I wasn't the one driving of course

)
Now Kindle 3's 3G is with AT&T and my current cell phone is not. Should I be in a place where AT&T 3G is weak or non-existent and I want to buy or download a book, I can create a hotspot with my Palm Pre and use it with my Kindle 3's wifi.
