As was mentioned elsewhere, your idea is a noble one, but what you're doing is end-running the (library's) user agreement ... which is not to say I wouldn't do it if I only had a small amount of the book left to actually read, and there were a queue for it.

Also, be aware that Overdrive flags (and freezes) accounts that fit such a pattern.
