The King in Yellow by Robert Chambers (should probably be here).

Especially the first story in it, The Repairer of Reparations. One of the oddest stories ever written, IMHO. The second half of the book is romance but the first half is all pretty good, but none so odd as the first.

James Blaylock writes some strange stuff (fantasy mostly). Very quirky.

Most stuff by Rudy Rucker.
