Testing conversions without actually converting

I stumbled across an iSilo book in my ebook collection. Still not sure where it came from (I don't use Apple products), but, I checked online and found there's no way to convert FROM it, only TO it.

Also, I occasionally run into zip files that are corrupted or otherwise don't have valid ebooks inside them.

Is there a way in Calibre to do a test run and test whether I "could" convert books, without doing the actual conversions? That way I could test what won't convert and clean them out of my library?

I could try to convert everything in my library to an obscure format and then delete it out after but I wanted to check if there was a test mode first.
