I'm certain that MobiPocket provided Bookeen with source code and technical assistance, but sources "in the know" have said that the CyBook's Mobipocket Reader is
not the portable Java version that was written for the iLiad, but a completely new development. As you say, the fact that it will integrate with the Desktop Reader clearly shows that the two companies must have worked closely together.
