Hello out there!

Hi everyone, I've been creepy-lurking for a while now, gleaning useful bits of info here and there, and enjoying that immensely, but I suppose it's time now to actually pop out and say hello!

I guess basics are... I'm a 23 year old lady (... wait, I am no lady) living in Kentucky. Also, I ramble!

Well, I'm very new to eBooks and eBook readers, although ever since the Kindle came out, I eyed it lustily, but alas, I was but a poor college student then, and they were so very expensive. (Now I'm a poor post-college student... much better! ) Anyway, it kinda fell to the wayside, and I don't even know exactly how, but I stumbled across something about the B&N Nook about 2 months ago, and the price had just dropped and a wi-fi only version was released, so I decided to splurge, and I really can't see myself going back.

I do still read a few paper books, but mostly just ones I can't find in ebook form, and then, I'll just check them out of the library. I've never been a very acquisitive person in general, even with books, as much as I love them. I digress... I do find I prefer to read on my nook, which doesn't really surprise me, as I'm a bit of a gadget-geek as well as a reading-geek. I've really enjoyed learning as much as I can about formats and DRM issues and Calibre and free ebooks and alll that good stuff. I read a bit of everything, I was reading only nonfiction for quite a bit about varied things, but right now I'm really on a fantasy binge.

I guess that wraps things up!
