Could it be you are reading in direct sunlight or in warm conditions? I don't know if I am imagining it, but it seems to me the page turns are slower in direct sunlight. If this is what you are referring to, I do not know.
In fact, I don't even know if it is just my imagination or an actual e-ink phenomenon.
