If you find yourself in need to remove DRM, it mean that you have paid for the book. Illegal copies don't have drm. The publishers can say tanks to the peaple making de-drm scripts. I wouldn't buy drm infected books otherwise. I don't want to lose my books, or be prevented to read because my device is not activated.
My sister, not so long ago, though her illiad dead. Then what. Admitting she could find a new reader that read, it wouldn't have the same pid.
So two choice :de-drm, and voila. ; Or re-download every book one by one after adding the new pid to the list. Ouch !
And the current situation would mean converting her books to ePub. Mobi being kind of dead. How do you do that with DRM ?
While getting rid of drm to put the file on the internet is bad, i have no problem whatsoever with getting rid of it, so I can read the books I paid for. And keep it forever, no mater what happen to my reader.
So tell me, in what making sure you can keep the things you bought stealing ?
