That code looks superfluous for this device. And some other code
is missing. Bluez is not the only game in town for blutooth. It's list
of supported devices in fact depends on the chip inside.
I have no SD card at my hand right now, but recall other files on it
to fulfill the task: read the book. Card image has full directory tree.
A lot of places to put configuration file to change options during
start. A lot of applications are simlinks to busybox. Some other binaries
are not what I see on GitHub.
