Uh.. no, it doesn't. It shows you a coverage map, but that is not the same thing. It just shows where you can connect with 3g and at which speed. Which does not necessarily mean Internet - it can also just mean the amazon shop and wikipedia.

Of cource, I would be vary happy to be proven wrong, but I have found no information whatsoever at amazon about the web browsing in germany.

Did you try it? I heard rumors about amazon charging you 5$ per week if you use an US kindle3 outside the US.
