But that will be PD in Canada and Australia and any other countries which (still thankfully) follow the dead author + 50 years rules. That's why Raymond Chandler, who died in 1959, became PD in Canada this year.
So you could publish a Swedish translation, fully PD, in 2013 for the Canadian Swedish community and if, somehow, copies made it back to Sweden ... well, that's hardly your problem, right?
