This is what it does to the Libre internal memory. Does it behave differently with the card?
This would be great if it works thus, for some of the more popular fiction titles, there is such a long wait list it's hard to predict when your turn comes up.

I assume that it would work that way, that the ADE management of the
"library" area that corresponds with the SD card would take place as soon as
ADE detects the SD card being connected. So loaned books that have been
returned or have expired would be dealt with just the same as if the SD card
were really the device ADE thinks it is. You might not want to expose that
card to ADE until you are done with the books on the card.
I don't know if ADE can tell if an SD card is an exact copy of one it is
managing, or how it would react if it could. But the copy that is not exposed
to ADE would remain readable in in your device, until it is exposed. Your device
should not care which SD card it is dealing with, just that there are valid files
in the adobe folders of the SD card.
**A note of reality: I do not own a "Libre". I do own a couple JBLs with the
0.16e firmware. Also, I no longer have the ADE software on my PC.**
Luck;
