Christmas 2008. I and my best 2/3s had one week holiday in Dominican Republic. On the second day we met a couple from Scotland. We became friends and spent some time together. I was sure that as it is always with holiday friendship it is going to be a short term one. I am very glad to admit I was wrong. We are still friends and have visited each other a couple of times. They are very kind people and intelligent. Whenever we are together I learn a lot. His knowledge of history and politics is outstanding. A fascinating couple and very unusual union, because he is a real Scot with a clan and history, while she is German Also, probably the only real atheists I have ever met in my life.
