The Great Quotations (1961) by George Seldes. The finest book of quotes I've ever read.

I'd also like to see The Five Gospels: What Did Jesus Really Say? The Search for the Authentic Words of Jesus (1993) by Robert W. Funk, Roy W. Hoover, and The Jesus Seminar, but this would be difficult; as a means of replacing the color-coded text (four colors in boldface font, in addition to the regular text) would have to be devised that worked for non-color e-ink screens.

It would also be nice to see The Story of Philosophy: The Lives and Opinions of the World's Greatest Philosophers (1926) by Will Durant in ebook form.
