Yes that's nasty up four mile Canyon -- at least one acquaintance (writing group member) has had to evacuate twice now.
We drove up Mt. Evans to Summit Lake -- road was closed beyond ... not sure why...maybe they close it after Labor Day.
Hiked briefly among the Bristle-cone pines.
