I've just been away on a short cruise, and had the pleasure of sharing a dinner table with a very interesting chap called Michael Ford who, it turns out, was the winner of two Oscars for set decoration (for "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Titanic" - look him up on Wikipedia). Had some fascinating discussions about his career and work.

Have you ever met anyone interesting in a similar random encounter?
