That's what I decided. Doing a scan from my thumb drive I get "hijack.homepage" as the problem. It is their computer and if they want it to always connect to their public website, fine.

As I said, I'm somewhat limited as to what I can install. They can't shut down the USB as I need to use it to transfer data to/from the clients PCs.

For the most part I only use the company laptop for company email and certain propriety software. It uses MS Internet Explorer and McAfee. McAfee is on auto update. Even so it hasn’t stopped all viruses.

Because I don't consider the company laptop secure enough I use my own laptop to transfer data to/from the thumb drive. I also scan the thumb drive before and after using it in someone else’s computer.

Luckily they also gave me a 3G USB internet connection modem. When I need to do online searches I use that in my computer.
