1. Steal or ask permission it was all about Apple making the claim that they were the originators. Ask any Apple fanboy and they will say the GUI interface, mouse, etc was there idea. That was the point.
2. The Newton now is such old technology that you might be able to claim that it help start an idea. Certainly the iphone is a smartphone. You want to claim the iPad came from Newton then that is fine but they got as many ideas from Microsoft's first attempts. Why not write about the failed Newton as a reason why Apple can't make a Slate. Oh they did the ipad just as the EXOPC will be very successful despite the failed first attempts.
3. You prove my point. It is all about marketing and licensing. They are geniuses when it comes to building an infrastructure. This really isn't a put down. Developing a product or idea is only half of the work. You just can't see beyond your misplaced anger.
4. Again you prove my point. In no way was I putting Apple down. You are so mad at a world that doesn't speak Appletalk. You drank the cool aid. My point is Apple is all about marketing and licensing. Doesn't mean the products are bad. I am just making the point that Apple is another me to company.
You should really lighten up and take a few deep breadths.
