why is this turning in to a bitter fight? there is no originality in this world. you just have evolution. there is no other company on earth that wants to project its brand based on the look and feel of not only its hardware (other than apple). what apple does is based on survival instincts. if people don't like it, they won't buy it. if people like exo pc and think it fits their bill, they will buy it also. it will be fun to see if people trust a company like exopc over apple (warranty issues and such). I have an ipad (my parents have one as well) and have ordered the Slate as well. Come the 25th of next month, I will be able to compare the 2. I bought this Slate because I don't have to scroll for a lot of documents including comics (i read a lot of graphic novels). that said, you can do most things with the iPad. The problems I have are mostly on the customization level .. examples would be making another browser the default, some youtube links not recognized and having to copy paste them in to the browser and change the url to point to the mobile version. Small pains to some but big pitas for me. The best I can do with even a JB is change the default browser (as in my iphone). But isn't an apple product just supposed to work??? Problem is it 'just works' for people with simple requirements and value security over customizability. I am tired of having to see to it that I don't inadvertently update the phone after apple deliberately pushes a 400MB update that does not do anything else but block the JB. Whatever floats your boat. Like I said in an earlier post, I would gladly ditch my iPhone for a good WebOs phone (when and if that happens).
