I have to say my 2G doesn't look anywhere near that bad. I know I don't have perfect vision but I don't see that amount of background pixelation and looking at both screens at the same time, it's not that big difference to me.
Yes, the 4G has twice the res and you can take a picture and blow it up to see the aliasing on the 2G but on the tiny screen I disagree I am getting eye strain reading on the 2G.
