one night they went dashing out at odarkthirty raising hell! they found a skunk in the backyard that they manage to chase IN the doggie door, cornered it under the dining room table and it let loose right in my big male dog's face, the female got a heavy dose on the side. I had JUST returned from a Search and Rescue Academy, with dogs the month previous, and we were told about using concentrated massengill douche!
You just use it in it's concentrated form?
I think this skunk had hid itself under our deck ! Do you have any suggestions for getting him out from under there, before this happens again?

my husband went to the grocery store (this is about 3 in the morning keep in mind) and bought 10 boxes of concentrated douche and nothing else. he said the kid at the cash register just stared at him and he could see "I'm not gonna ask, I'm not gonna ask... probably safer not to know...." going across his face.

anyway, the douche worked wonders on the dogs and they sure smelled better than the house and the carpets for a long time!
Did you use it on the carpets too? Not that we have any carpet, but I think she laid on her dog bed before we could figure what the horrid smell was! Driving around I can smell skunk easily, but in the house we thought that something was burning! We were running around smelling all of our electrical appliances & mechanicals!

Thanks for the idea! Were you the one that helped me out with the nettle I got into too?
