Interesting. I was never even half-scientific about it, but I thought I remembered the 300 and 505 displaying text within the same book at raw point-sizes, so, since the resolution was the same, the M font on the 300 was smaller than the M font on the 505. It's one of the things that led me to feel that the 505 was more readable in general (since I don't like reading tiny fonts, and it seemed like S and M were "tiny" to me on the 300).
Of course, maybe this was not the case between the 300 and 600 (models within the same series). Or maybe I was not comparing identical epub files.
