This is starting to wig me out. The Kindle I've been discussing is my wife's but mine arrived yesterday and I just put on the Pendergast books by Preston and Child. I first edited the published date for each one, giving the first book the most recent date and the next book the previous month and so on.
I used Calibre to update the published dates and to transfer them to my Kindle. I used Collection Manager to create a collection for them and move them into it.
I rebooted the Kindle and except for one book they are all in order. The 5th book is sorting first. That's the same situation that's happening to the Harry Potter books on my wife's Kindle.
What is going on?
