Well I updated the new firmware yesterday and I've really put my Kindle through its paces in the last 24 hours with loads of web browsing, downloading books, searching, sorting and listening to an audio book. I haven't yet had a single problem - it seems speedier too.

Prior to installing the update I was getting multiple freezes / restarts daily and I wasn't using the K3 much because of the issues. So fingers crossed it has worked for me so far. I'll keep you posted.
