Don't let that stop you.

I don't use Callibre extensively, but the Readers (PRS-505 and newer) will mount as discs on your Computer. You can use Mac OS X Finder or Windows Explorer to copy ePUBs/LRFs directly to the correct location, and you're done. It's not that user friendly, but it works.

On the Reader, you drop the file(s) in "/database/media/books/" unmount and you're ready to go.

Actually, I haven't tested this. Better order me a PRS-605, and I will make sure it works for you!
