To me, asking why we ultimately bought a reader, and asking the general public about when they would buy something are completely different.

I won't buy something just because it is cheap, but there are things I will buy but not until the price comes down. See the difference? None of us (probably)said, "hey, X is on sale. I don't want it, but I'll buy it anyway." There has to be the want first.

And, honestly, we're mostly geeks and nerds here (I don't remember the difference, but my son is very clear that there IS one) and we love our gadgets and love to read.
