Tried Looking at a Nook

in BB yesterday and today while contemplating a computer for son who's a college freshman.

I couldn't get out of the starting gate. Yesterday's store two devices were locked up and the gal couldn't get them restarted, and today's was stuck on a start up screen. Not a good advertisement for the Nook where I'm concerned.

What I was wondering, is how fluid is the page turning in one of these devices? The Kobo seemed slow and choppy when turning the page.

(This is an interesting experience. Two online friends have eReaders and of they are very vocal as to how much they like theirs... one a Nook and one a Kindle. It's good they love their own devices. LOL)

Thanks for reading.

Julie
