If I had an e-reader of any brand and the battery needed to be recharged every 4 hours with the 3G mode turned off, I would be calling customer service. There is clearly a problem.
In case anyone cares, My K1 lasts about 13 hours without a charge. I know this because I read most of my plane flights between Washington DC and Sydney, Australia, including waiting to change planes in San Fransisco. I don't sleep well on planes and only watched two movies. The rest of the time I was reading so about 13 hours. I had a backup battery just in case my 18 month old K1 on its first battery had power issues but I didn't have to use it.
The battery life on the K2 is suppose to be double the K1. The battery life on the K3 is suppose to be double the K2.
