Because when the 360 was released there were no Pearl screens
Plus you have to remember the exclusivity contract: if Pocketbook wants to release anything with Pearl, it must wait until that contract is finished. Of course, the opportunity cost of such a decision is huge and PB won't take it.
Honestly, I don't think pearl is that much of a deal. Vizplex looks great provided that no touch layer affects contrast (I had the possibility to compare PRS-700 with my MM and it really made a difference).
