if you put all the allotted books on your kindle in one go it takes about 3 hrs to index and the start times when switched on takes ages i have quite a few student books history and Latin eBooks saves my buying them free books. and i took them off due to performance issuses so i have only 2 hundred books if want to but max book allotment on don't bovver use caliber for book management and only put a few books on at time i have kindle dx
