I am not sure an iPad can run both Mobipocket and ePub. It won;t be a resource hog. The Slate can even run photoshop which is the biggest resource hog on the planet. The Slate should have burnt to a crisp but it didn't. There will be no speed or resource issues.

Can the iPad run both Mobipocket and ePub?
