Good to know there is someone else out there with fingernails and a need for a larger font!
Unfortunately, I won't be back at the mall this week...I thought of taking pictures, but my phone camera isn't very good.

But here are some points of reference:
- I need 1.25 magnification reading glasses..my eyesight is still decent but at the point where I occasionally need for very fine print or the lighting/contrast isn't good (a sign of getting older)
- On the Kindle, I use a font size that is between the Sony's medium and large font (The one drawback on my PRS-505 is that I use a larger font than I need because the one below it is too small to read comfortably).

I could easily read with the medium font on the newer models...it could be because of the improved clarity -or- the store lighting -or- combination of both.

Personally, I would find the large font on the PRS-350 not usable.
I read very fast and while the page turns are faster, it's not instantaneous (e.g. there is still a small flash in between). And if my eyesight were even a bit worse off than it is or lighting conditions weren't ideal, I would probably need the Large font. As much as I fell in love with the 350 and want a 5 inch reader for the portability, I think anyone who needs reading glasses but doesn't want to use them should consider the 650...or at least consider there will be an adjustment to the change when moving from a larger reader.

But that's me - I tend to "speed read" (my brain scans while reading). But my mother uses a larger font on her Kindle that I have the same gripe about...but it doesn't seem to bother her...it's what's she needs and is used to. Perhaps there are PRS-300 users who use the Large font and don't think the lack of content displayed at once and frequent page turns an issue.
