Hardly possible, until the usual suspects hit the thread, hijack it and turn it into a discussion of e-ink vs. lcd.
A wag once said to me, "If you're so smart, why don't you understand women?" Most notably, the deity of women? Let us presuppose there is no God. How then do we explain the female, at once similar, and on reflection, quite different from men. Hawking has been married twice. His first wife, Jane Wilde, appears to have divorced him. His marriage to his second wife, Elaine Mason, a nurse, also ended in a divorce. Without a soul mate, one wonders how this brilliant man could ever understand spirituality, much less the miracle of love. I will contact my pastor to dispatch a born-again stripper to Mr. Hawkin's bedside. She will demonstrate the the attraction of the G-spot is more powerful than the force of Gravity.
Hawkin's study and work on black holes, and his support/belief in M-theory may have clouded his understanding of the universe. Some of these theoretical ideas are still pretty far out there, and await verification by countless experiments, yet to be performed. Before he attempts to push the conclusion that God is not relevant to modern physics, let him provide me with more evidence.

Wait a minute. There is a 12th dimension. That dimension is spirituality -- to explain the unexplainable. I hope everyone is familiar with the cartoon below (Then a miracle happens). Q.E.D.
There is an ongoing discussion on Huffington Post:

Let us wait until after Labor Day passes, and people (from the US) return from their summer vacations. The case is not closed. In fact, it is wide open.
