As a former 505 owner and a current 900 owner,
The only real "drawback" for you to consider regarding the 950 is the weight difference.

I found that going from the 505 to the 900 was a noticeable difference in weight, which meant some reading positions (like holding it up while lying in bed) got a bit strenous. Sounds silly but true in my case.

The 950 is supposed to be lighter but since I have not found a published weight for the 950 yet, I'm not sure how much lighter. Mind you the weight of the 650 vs the old 505 is significantly less so there is a chance the 950 will be somewhere near the weight of the old 505.

I'm also assuming Sony has indeed fixed the bad glare issues on the 900 because of the touchcreen.
