Just like to point out, that i love the effect of the protector on the screen. It really emphasises the words and pictures, with its glossy effect.

But then i suppose that really depends on how you like your screen. Some people go for matte laptops, some for gloss ones. It really is a matter of personal preference.

That said, due to the gloss effect, you can see your reflection under low artificial light. If you were reading on the beach or somewhere outdoors on the other hand, you wouldn't see your reflection, and the clarity is in no way diminished. In fact to me the perceived contrast is heightened, as the black text looks better glossy.

Another reason to get a screen protector is if your the sort who accidentally gets fingerprints on everything. With a protector, you can easily wipe it off without worrying about scratching the screen.

My only qualm about Zagg screen protectors, and i suppose all of them are the same is that they are cut undersized, to let the liquid out when applying it.
