word to the wise, try converting your cds to lossless formats, so you won't re-rip them eventually. If you absolutely have to rip them to lossy ones, opt for aac (apple uses that) that is vastly superior to mp3, and as a last resort lame mp3 is the best mp3 encoder (though not really comparable to any of the other options I mentioned).
