I got the 3G+Wifi version as an insurance policy against a future irritated version of me. There was a chance that at some point in the future I would really want to use the 3G for some reason. If that future me then only had a wifi Kindle the future me would be super angry at the past me for not paying the extra 50$ for convenience.
So I went with the 3G+wifi version to insure that the future me wouldn't be annoyed. :lol:
In all seriousness, before my K3 came I spent 2 weeks in Mexico and was completely out of all wifi areas. I didn't have an ereading device and was immensely jealous of the folks in my program who I saw with Kindles. They showed off how they could buy books into the middle of the city or on a bus traveling to an archaeological site and that completely convinced me to invest the extra 50 up front because I never know when it might be useful. Heck, I spent 60$ on a case with a light for the sheer convenience... 50$ seemed like small change at that point. :lol:
