We need a list of web sites well suited to the Kindle 3.

The one I go to most is:

mobile.nytimes.com

A few months from now, when the New York Times is planning to change its business model, this will probably go away or deteriorate, but for now it is good. And not just the home page, but also the full article links.

I read in one review that gmail.com was a problem, but plain text emails are working for me, both reading and sending.

On some other web sites, I am using my PC to pick up what I want to read with Instapaper. That works great except that the many notices coming from Amazon are annoying. Yes, for the 50th time, I know that Amazon won't send me stuff to me for free until I am in WiFi range. Does anyone yet know how to suppress notices?

Article Mode isn't as good as expected, although works with Wikipedia.

I didn't expect great web browsing without a monthly fee, and the device meets expectations.
