While reading today, the top half of my screen went all white. I can see the bottom half of the screen (about where the 6 button is) but everything above that is washed out. I can faintly see the menu numbers on the side but nothing when reading a book. Went to the Sony support site and their suggestions consist of be sure battery is fully charged; do a soft reset; do a hard reset. None of those fixed the problem. When I checked into doing a repair, the site said the prs-505 would have to use the "Request Exchange" program. Does anyone have any experience with this problem? And/or with the "Exchange" program from Sony? I assume since the 505 is no longer made, Sony would replace it with a newer model (the 600?). Sigh, I really love my 505.
